With its unique flora, more than 280 species of migratory and sedentary birds and the variety of fish that breed there, the lagoon of Caorle<\/strong> is a protected natural area waiting to be discovered!<\/strong> It is no coincidence that the American writer and Nobel Prize winner Ernest Hemingway <\/strong>was so fascinated by it that he described its beauty in his novel “Across the River and Into the Trees”.<\/p>\r\n

Once upon a time it was here that the fishermen of Caorle lived with their families<\/strong>, in the characteristic casoni of Caorle: these are typical dwellings made of wood and marsh cane, which can still be seen today and can be visited with a quiet and evocative walk<\/strong> or by using one of the bicycles provided by the Hotel Unico<\/strong>.
As it is navigable, the Caorle lagoon can also be explored on board the numerous tourist boats that organise unmissable visits to the casoni, in an evocative route between canals and dry land<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Reach the fascinating Sanctuary of the Madonna dell’Angelo, <\/strong>which marks the beginning of the Levante beach, and walk along the Lungomare Trieste, <\/strong>the beautiful coastal road that in about thirty minutes will take you to the Falconera district. <\/strong>After passing the campsite of the same name, you will find yourself in front of the Nicesolo canal, <\/strong>one of the most characteristic areas of Caorle, beyond which lies the natural oasis of Brussa<\/strong> with its pine forest, dunes and beach.<\/p>\r\n

Continue along the asphalt road until a dirt track for cyclists and pedestrians starts on the right, from which you can admire the Caorle Lagoon<\/strong> in all its beauty.
Continuing to the right along the embankment, you will come to Isola dei Pescatori, <\/strong>a place to stop for a pleasant visit to the characteristic casoni (fishermen’s huts) of Caorle<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n

Leaving Isola dei Pescatori along the dirt road that follows the Saetta canal, <\/strong>after 500 metres you will come to its confluence with the Riello canal. <\/strong>A few hundred more metres and you come to the municipal stadium.
